HELP US IMPROVE YOUR PUB

To our customers... We're really proud of what we're building here at Bottle & Stoat - a place where you can come with friends, or on your own, for great beer and good times. But there are a few things we're still not quite happy with - mostly the toilet, but a few other bits and bobs aswell. When we took on what is now Bottle & Stoat in November 2023, we took it on with nearly £31,000 of debt and a weekly turnover of minus £350. In the 16 months since then, we have managed to pay back all of that debt (as well as the loans we took out to support the repayments), and get the books into the black, as well as partially renovating the venue and putting in things we consider to be important to the functioning of the pub, like cellar cooling and the glass washer. However, with the cost of everything going up – bills, the price of beer, national insurance contributions, the living wage etc etc – we are unfortunately unable to pay for the rest of the work that needs to be done, whilst ensuring the jobs, wages, and pensions of our wonderful staff. The business is (finally!) stable and washing its own face, but, with all the increased costs, it simply does not generate enough extra profit to complete the work we started last year. So this is where you come in…... We're raising money to finish the renovations we started back in 2023. We want to replace the flooring, make the "snug" snug, and, most importantly, install a second bathroom so we can make the pub comfortable and convenient for all our customers.
